THE NAME OF THE DEVELOPER OF THE PROPOSED SHREVEPORT DATA CENTER IS NOT RELEVANT

One of the complaints of some people objecting to the proposed data center is the undisclosed identity of the developer of the proposed Shreveport data center.

Geez—why does that matter? Seriously.

I don’t care, and in my opinion neither should others, if this person/company is Jeff Bezos of Amazon fame, Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk of Tesla/SpaceX fame, or Joe Blow from Nowhere USA. As long as it’s not the Chinese, Russians, North Korea or other enemy countries/groups, I am totally OK not knowing this information now.

Like it or not, it’s the nature of the economic development game to NOT lay all the cards on the table when seeking a new project until ALL the details are finalized. At that time, press conferences and ticker tape parades are appropriate. But not until then.

Data center opponents have very little, if any, factual information to support their opposition to state-of-the art data centers. The undisclosed identity of the developer/operator is just another example of grasping at straws. Who knows, the football patronage—be that Saints or Cowboys—of the developer may next be questioned.

GENERATOR NOISE IS NOT A DECIDING FACTOR IN NEW DATA CENTERS
