John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

NOVEMBER GAMING REPORT AGAIN SHOWS MARGARITAVILLE NUMBER ONE

The November activity report for the local casinos has been posted by the Louisiana State Police.
 
Once again, Margaritaville lead the pack. Live Casino! placed second, followed by Horseshoe, Bally’s, Boomtown, and Sam’s Town.
 
The fiscal year-to-date summary (July 1, 2025 - November 2025) reflects Margaritaville with the highest adjusted gross revenue (AGR), followed by Horseshoe, Live! Casino, Bally’s, Boomtown and Sam’s Town.
 
The total November 2025 AGR compared to the November 2024 AGR shows a total increase of $2.65 million. Last November Live! Casino was not open. Thus, its entrance into the market in April of this year shows an overall market increase of approximately 17 per cent.
