John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

ANOTHER BIG HAUL ON PINES ROAD BLOCK BY BLOCK SWEEP LAST WEEK

Where does all this stuff come from and how does it get on vacant lots, abandoned properties, public roads and rights-of way?

"Stuff"  being defined as trash, old furniture, dead animals, discarded building materials and appliances, limbs, clothing, garbage, broken toys, and you name it.

Shreveport's Public Works and Property Standards personnel were again hard at it last week in the Pines Road area as Mayor Arcneneaux's Block by Block Initiative continued with more large numbers: 53 tons of "stuff" and 110 discarded tires were collected.
