GOVERNOR LANDRY PRAISES CADDO DA STEWART

In a Baton Rouge press conference yesterday, Governor Jeff Landry acknowledged that state district attorneys need more funding to hire and retain prosecutors. He stated he would ask the Legislature to provide these funds in the next legislative session.

Landry gave special kudos to Caddo D.A. James Stewart saying he was a good example of a D.A. who is making a difference in crime prevention and prosecution. Landry wants to award district attorneys who are serious about prosecuting crimes like Stewart with more funding.

Hat's off to Stewart for his work and to Landry for publicly recognizing Stewart's office.
