It's good news.
And it's bad news.
The amount of "stuff"---as in trash, broken toys, old furniture, limbs, lumber/building materials, dead animals, old appliances, raggedy clothes, discarded grocery items, junk and you name it--that was picked up and hauled off last week in the Block by Block Initiative in the Stoner Hill area.
Citizen volunteers, Public Works personnel along with Property Standards crew did another remarkable job. Collectively 53 tons of "stuff" and 252 tires were collected and hauled off.
Geez--where did all that "stuff" come from and how did it land in Stoner Hill. One suspects that many of those who literally "trashed" the area did not live there.
Let's hope this effort discourages future junking of Stoner Hill!
