Unless a reader has been camping out in a darkness retreat with Aaron Rogers, the mere mention of G-Unit immediately suggests Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson. For old-time hip-hop fans, G-Unit (short for Guerrilla-Unit) was a hip hop group formed by east coast rappers 50 Cent, Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks.
“50 Cent” has made his presence known in a big-time way in Shreveport. The Humor & Harmony festival was a major famous/infamous event in 2024. Jackson has also spent big bucks purchasing many downtown properties and is now planning on construction of a downtown Dome.
Jackson has set up numerous limited liability companies (LLCs). All of them have a domicile and registered agent in Baton Rouge and the member of each is Curtis J. Jackson, III with a Woodland Hills, California address. (“50 Cent” is one and the same as Curtis J. Jackson, III)
The G-Units listed on the Louisiana Secretary of State website are:
G-Unit Contracting, LLC
G-Unit Film & Television Louisiana, LLC
G-Unit Film & Television Louisiana Entertainment Properties, LLC
G-Unit Gaming, LLC
G-Unit Media Development, LLC.
G-Unit Studios Shreveport, LLC.
The Cooperative Endeavor Agreement to fund $50 million is between LED and G-Unit Film & Television Louisiana, LLC.
One should not be surprised if more G-Unit LLCs are popped up. Each LLC will provide limited liability for business ventures conducted by that entity to the business assets of that particular entity.
