The special use permit that is challenged is for the Shreveport data center in west Shreveport—NOT the one in north Caddo near Mooringsport.
Two of the plaintiffs live near the data center location in west Shreveport.
They are concerned that the proposed data center will adversely affect the power grid in that area.
They are also concerned about the water usage from Cross Lake and the capacity of the lake to provide water for Shreveport residents and businesses in addition to the data center.
The Mooringsport mayor Tyler Gordon is concerned about the use of water from Caddo Lake.
The case is assigned to Caddo district judge Ramon Lafitte.
