John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

MARGARITAVILLE CONTINUES TO LEAD THE SHREVEPORT BOSSIER CASINOS

The January 2026 Louisiana State Police monthly activity report shows that Margaritaville continues to lead the Shreveport Bossier casino market, posting the highest adjusted gross revenue (AGR) in the current fiscal year (July 1, 2025, through January 31, 2026).
 
Margarita’s AGR was $85.34 million compared to Horseshoe’s $81.07 million and Live! Casino’s $71.388 million.
 
Bally’s AGR was $47.41 million, Boomtown’s was $20.8 million and Sam’s Town had $19.17.
