At the Shreveport Zoning Board of Appeals hearing on Wednesday Orville Hall, the wealth advisor for Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson”, touted the plans of Jackson to “turn Shreveport around” with his planned G-Dome and renovations of the properties Jackson now owns in downtown Shreveport.
Yesterday (Thursday) a local media outlet reported that work had commenced on two of Jackson’s downtown acquisitions without the City of Shreveport issuing the appropriate permits.
The State of Louisiana may be involved because of a reported asbestosis in one of the properties.
It certainly was good timing that the ZBA heard the requested variance on Wednesday before the permit story broke, even though the two issues are not directly related.
In the meantime, Jackson is currently seeking a 99-year extension of the Millennium lease from the City of Shreveport.
