Pride Month, Family Month, and Million Dollar….

The Caddo Commission work session is today (Monday).

As usual the agenda has several recognition resolutions, with Commissioner Victor Thomas sponsoring four of the eight.

One of these is recognizing Pride Month and another declares June as Family Month.

How the three commissioners seeking election in November vote on the Pride Month resolution will no doubt be a subject for social media.

This resolution can be adopted at the commission’s regular meeting on Thursday.

Commissioner Ed Lazarus has placed an ordinance on the agenda to fund up to $1 million to study the feasibility of a water plant at the Port of Caddo-Bossier.

This proposal addresses the need for an alternative water source in south Caddo Parish, which relies heavily on the aquifer for its water supply. The Parish paid $500 thousand for a report rendered in 2013.

This ordinance can be adopted at the commission’s July meeting.
