SEVEN OPEN CADDO SCHOOL BOARD SPOTS ON NOVEMBER BALLOT

There will be bid turnover on the Caddo School Board next year with six members termed out and two others not running for reelection.

Here are the termed-out members:

Jasmine Green
District 2

Bonita Douzart
District 5

Mary Trammela
District 6

Barry Rachal
District 9

Dottie Bell
District 12

Jasmine Green has announced that she will run for the Shreveport City Council District A against Tabatha Taylor.

Don Little, representing District 4, has stated he will not seek reelection along with Steve Umling, District 1, who has announced he will run for Blanchard mayor.

Thus, a new majority of members will be elected to the School Board. This will most likely change the dynamics of Board decisions starting in January 2027.

School board members are elected for 4 year terms, and they are termed out after three four-year terms.
