John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

PASTOR STEVEN HALL NOW A CANDIDATE FOR DISTRICT G SHREVEPORT COUNCIL

What started out as a joke posting has now turned into a reality.
 
Yesterday (Monday) after learning that Derrick Henderson was going to run again against Ursula Bowman for the  Shreveport City Council District G,  Pastor Steven Hall posted  as a joke he would also run for this seat.
 
But then after receiving many calls of encouragement and support, Pastor Steven has now decided that he WILL run for the council.
 
Hall is the pastor of The Greater Cornerstone Baptist Church in Queensborough.
 
A retired Navy veteran, Hall currently works at Bossier Parish Community College.
 
He is active in youth sports as a referee.
 
Now there are three announced candidates for this council seat.
