Victor Thomas is a Caddo Commissioner and presently serves as vice-president.
He was recently appointed Executive Director of the Shreveport Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce (SBAACC).
Many citizens are questioning if it is a conflict of interest for Thomas to remain on the Commission with his new job.
It is not known if this position is full-time; presumably this is paid position.
Thomas failed to answer a text inquiring about his job and his future status as a commissioner.
A public request has been made to the SBAAC for information on Thomas’ new position.
Reportedly an inquiry has been made to the Louisiana Ethics Commission on the conflicts question.
The SBAACC receives funds from the Caddo Commission, the State of Louisiana, business sponsors and charitable organizations.
