The City of Shreveport owns the old Pioneer Bank Building on the corner of Texas and Edwards Streets.
The building is no longer needed by the city and an ordinance in the city council's agenda for approval tomorrow will declare property to be surplus.
When initially placed on the agenda the minimum bid was $850,000.
The price has now been reduced to $507,000 after an interested party submitted documentation of substantial repairs needed to put the building back into commerce and the property was then reappraised.
The identity of the "interested" party has not been disclosed .
