It's been a long hot stove year already with various names being bandied about for the many upcoming local elections on the November 3 ballot. The political hot stove talk started last fall.
Thankfully all the political tire-kicking will end on Friday August 7 when all candidates must qualify for office.
Just in case one is wondering what offices will be on the play card here is a partial list:
Shreveport Mayor
Shreveport City Council
Caddo Parish School Board
Caddo District Attorney
Caddo District Judges
Shreveport City Judges.
Add to this list many races for mayor in parish towns and villages as well as their respective governing bodies.
It will be time for the political wannabes to lay down some cash to chase their dreams.
The next stop on the political train will be November 3, which will be the happy/sad date for qualifiers.
