HEY BUDDY…GOT $10 MILLION TO SPARE FOR CADDO SPORTS COMPLEX

Caddo Parish needs big buck benefactors to help fund the much-trumpeted sports complex to be on the November ballot for approval by Caddo Parish voters.

The Caddo Parish Commission unveiled mock images of the proposed $70 million sports and recreation complex at a special meeting this past Friday (Aug. 28) at the Walter B. Jacobs Nature Center.

Information on this complex can be accessed at this link.

The ballot proposition is to approve a $60 million general obligation bonds, with the remaining $10 million coming from “other sources”. (See the answer to Question 3 in the Frequently Asked Questions which is in the link.)

At least three public forums will provide citizens the opportunity to gain more information on this proposition at LSUS (Sept.8), Government Plaza (Sept. 9) and Greenacres Full Gospel Community Center (Sept. 10), all starting at 5:30 p.m.

In the meantime, readers are asked to look under their mattresses to help find the additional buck needed for this project if approved by voters.
