In a Baton Rouge press conference yesterday, Governor Jeff Landry acknowledged that state district attorneys need more funding to hire and retain prosecutors. He stated he would ask the Legislature to provide these funds in the next legislative session.Landry gave special kudos to Caddo D.A.

PLANNED PERMANENT DOWNTOWN DOME MUST MEET ZONING STANDARDS

The local media is reporting that G-Unit/Curtis "50" Jackson will erect a permanent dome on the parking lot on the corner of Travis and Commerce in time for next year's March Humor and Harmony Festival. A temporary dome was installed for the 2024 Humor and Harmony Festival on this site.

Mayor Arceneaux has announced that the Humor and Harmony Festival (HHF) will return in March of next year.  Although last year's festival was touted as a great success by its promoter Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson and the mayor, many question the overall net impact to the City of Shreveport.
