On Monday (Sept. 21) Shreveport Police Chief Wayne Smith gave his monthly crime report on calls for service to the Shreveport City Council comparing year to date with Sept. 21, 2025. Here are the calls for service: 1. Felonies   Down 13% 2. Vehicle thefts   Down 14% 3.

The old adage of "a new broom sweeps clean" certainly applies to the actions of Caddo Sheriff Henry Whitehorn since taking office pm July 1 of last year. Depending on the topic of discussion, some say Whitehorn has implemented "good things" and others will say "bad things." And some will say both.

WHY ONLY ONE JULY MEETING OF CADDO COMMISSION

The Caddo Commission is the governing both of Caddo Parish.The twelve (12) commissioners are the highest paid part time elected officials in the state--over $22,000 per year.Generally the Commission meets on the first and fourth Mondays and Thursdays of the month.

LAST WEEK'S QUEENSBOROUGH NEIGHBORHOOD SWEEP HAD BIG RESULTS
