Hey Fifty—Are You Dumping Me/Shreveport?

Oh my gosh—last night I read a news report that said you were frustrated with the City of Shreveport. And some Facebook posts saying you are pulling up stakes and moving out.

Goodness, what happened? How did the 50 train get off the tracks?

Is it because Erin McCarty on KEEL radio called you out on no productions at Expo Hall?

Is it Tim Huck’s constant complaints about you not fulfilling your obligations for productions/events under the Millennium and Expo Hall leases?

Is it the City not fixing the water flooding issues at Millennium even though you have an “as is” lease?

Are you tired, like most downtown workers/building owners, of DDA Executive Director Cedric Glover not delivering on his Sept. 30 promise to have private downtown security patrols?

Is it because the city would not transfer the leases in the Red River Entertainment District that you wanted?

Did your local tour guides Tabatha Taylor and her boyfriend Ronny lead you astray?

What more support do you want/expect from the City?

Does this mean that the bloom is off the rose on our city bromance?

I hope its not another woman—I meant city?

Are you really kicking Shreveport to the curb?

I guess this means that your planned dinner with that muckraker John Settle on your next visit to Shreveport is now off the table.

Signed,
Broken-Hearted City of Shreveport
