Commissioner Greg Young’s Credit Score Undermines His Sports Complex Endorsement

Caddo Commission president Greg Young is a big supporter of the proposed $70 million Caddo sports complex which is to be funded by the $60 million bong proposal on the Nov. 3 ballot.

Prez Greg takes every opportunity at Commission meeting to push this bond proposal, much like he did on the $10 million pickleball complex that did not require voter approval.

Young always asserts that the income projections for the complex along with the promised economic benefits undoubtedly justify the sports complex.

At a recent commission meeting Prez Greg touted his “perfect credit score of 900” as a testament to his financial acumen along with his 4,000 square foot home on north Cross Lake.

Hmmm.

The only hitch in his giddup is that the maximum credit score for both FICO and VantageScore models is 850—NOT 900. One wonders what the real square footage is on his Cross Lake mansion.

Prez Greg usually presides at commission meetings wearing a western style hat.

Maybe that’s a new take on the old adage of “all hat, no cattle”—"all hat, no credit score math.”
