Shreveport Regional Airport Is Taking Off

Since I became Mayor, our city has made real progress in expanding air service and improving our regional airport.

Did you know that in 2025, more than 800,000 passengers traveled through Shreveport Regional Airport?  This milestone marked our highest passenger count in 44 years!

We've taken great strides in making it easier to do business in our region and improving accessibility to travelers by expanding nonstop service to 10 destinations, including Nashville, Las Vegas, Orlando, and our new service to Chicago. Direct flights represent real time savings for business travelers and make our city a more convenient destination for conventions and leisure travelers. They also boost hospitality revenue at local hotels, entertainment venues and restaurants.

We've also expanded and modernized our boarding gates, added hundreds of parking spaces, and we're preparing for international flights. And, SkyWest Airlines has opened a major aircraft maintenance facility, bringing good-paying jobs to Shreveport.

Our Shreveport Regional Airport is taking off! The economic and business benefits can’t be denied, and we're not stopping there. More parking, a new air traffic control tower, and additional terminal improvements are on the way.

More flights…better facilities…more jobs—that's powerful progress you can see at Shreveport Regional Airport.

What’s more?  We're just getting started!
