John Paul is a candidate for Shreveport mayor, and he is one of the top three challengers of incumbent mayor Tom Arceneaux.
His campaign finance report filed for the period of Sept. 25 through Oct. 24 reflected total campaign contributions by Young of $160,000 with $30,000 in the reporting period. He also has third party donations of almost $12,000 in that interim.
John Paul reported campaign expenses of $54,300 with the largest expenses for postal charges, billboard advertising and social media. His report reflected funds on hand of $43,00.
