SHERIFF WHITEHORN SAYS, “BAH HUMBUG” WHILE MAYOR ARECENEAUX WISHES “MERRY CHRISTMAS”

Shreveport and Caddo property owners have yet to receive by mail their 2025 ad valorem property tax notices. Usually these are received around Thanksgiving.

By law the payments are due by December 31. Payments after that date bear interest.

Shreveport Mayor Tom Arceneaux has EXTENDED  the payment deadline WITHOUT PENALTY until Jan. 16, 2026.

Caddo Sheriff Whitehorn is NOT extending the deadline.

Sooo…Tiny Tim, you can be thankful for Mayor Tom.

And Scrooge, you have a new buddy in Sheriff Henry.

One can only hope that the tax notices for both the city and the parish are received soon.
