Many local citizens and businesses are required by Louisiana law to run Public Notices in the print media. These notices plus Proofs of Publication must be submitted to various regulatory agencies and/or provided to third parties.
The Inquisitor office is open 8 am until 4:30 p.m on Monday-Thursday and from 8 am until noon on Friday. That means the phone is answered during those hours, even lunch time. Drafts of the public notices are emailed for approval and proofs of publication are mailed out each Thursday, the day of publication.
Public notices that are published in The Inquisitor:
Liquor License applications
Notices for purchasers of tax adjudicated property
Person whereabouts information requests
Succession Notice to Sell Immovable Property
Sex Offender Notifications
Zoning Change Applications
The adage is that “if you don’t below your own horn, nobody hears the message.” Yes, I do own The Inquisitor. My office is in Bossier City and I have two employees.
The paper is sold in over 125 retail locations in Shreveport and Bossier. And persons running public notices can get special publication privileges from the paper.
