John came to Shreveport in January of 1977 when he was transferred to Barksdale AFB.

He’s been active in Shreveport politics since deciding to make Shreveport his home.

John practiced law for 40 years and he now monitors local politics. He regularly attends Shreveport City Council and Caddo Parish Commission meetings.

John is published weekly in The Inquisitor, bi-monthly in The Forum News, and frequently in the Shreveport Times.

He enjoys addressing civic groups on local government issues and elections.

 

FOUR VACANCIES COMING UP ON CADDO SCHOOL BOARD

The elections for the 2027-2030  Caddo school board terms will be this fall.
 
Four members currently serving on the board will be termed out and can’t seek re-election:
 
Jasmine Green--District 2
 
Mary Trammell—District 6
 
Barry Rachel—District 9
 
Dottie Bell—District 12
 
It is assumed that the other eight board members will seek re-election.
 
Reportedly Terrence Vinson (District 3) does not live in the district and that he will be challenged if he seeks re-election.
