Monday the Caddo Commission Economic Development Committee meets at 11:30 a.m.
The sole agenda item is a presentation on the proposed $40 million athletic complex which is slated to be on the November ballot for general obligation bond approval.
To date the Caddo Administration has been very tight-lipped about this proposal.
Seemingly the Administration should provide an update on the $10 million pickleball complex while discussing this project.
Monday will be “Spend the day with the Commission,” which also includes a 2 p.m. start time for the Public Safety Funding Committee meeting and then the work session at 3:30 p.m. Box lunches, paid for with tax dollars, can be expected for commission members attending either or both committee meetings.
It is also the unofficial “Dress Hawaiian Day” in honor of the five commissioners who vacationed on Maui at conferences, four on the taxpayer’s dime.
No doubt, during the commissioner comment period at the work session, those 5 will wax long and hard about all they learned on wildfire management, AI in business, wellness, and economic development.
