PURCHASE OF D'ANNA PRODUCE BUILDING BY CITY WAS VALID

The city of Shreveport purchased the long vacant D'Anna Produce building on Market Street in Sept. 2019. This property is adjacent to Cross Bayou on the west side of Market, just north of the Convention Center. The purchase price was $466 thousand.

THE FUNDAMENTAL QUESTION GATEWAY NEEDS TO ANSWER

This is not rocket science. The Gateway developers--whomever they are now--have asked the city of Shreveport to buy 88 acres and donate or lease this tract to Gateway. The question that Gateway has NOT addressed, much less answered, is where will the city get the money?
