Caddo District Attorney James Stewart, a Democrat, is seeking reelection on the Nov. 3 ballot.
State Senator Alan Seabaugh, a Republican, is his opponent.
Both Stewart and Seabaugh filed their campaign finance reports with the Louisiana Ethics Commission yesterday.
As of Sept. 24, Stewart had campaign funds on hand of $151,600.
Seabaugh reported $504,800.
Between now and election date both candidates are expected to expend massive moneys on advertising, canvassing and get out the vote efforts.
