Hugo Holland
Hugo Holland is a candidate for the Caddo Judge to replace Katherine Dorroh who is retiring. He is opposed by Caddo assistant district attorney Treneisha Hill.
The most recent campaign finance reports filed with the Louisiana Ethics Administration show that Holland had funds on hand of almost $54,000 and Hill had less than $4,500.
Hill’s largest contribution was one $1,000 check. She had five donations of $500, including one from the Committee to Elect Henry Whitehorn.
Holland had 38 contributions exceeding $1000, with three donations of the maximum amount of $6,000. Two of these were from Trey Morris individually and the other from his law firm.
Holland was the heavy favorite from the get-go with name recognition, experience, and support throughout the parish and his campaign fund balance is reflective of his widespread support.
Hill is an unknown outside the District Attorney’s office and apparently is a puppet candidate.
